  • Rachel K. Lozosky Presents to the Pennsylvania School Board Solicitor's Association

    The Pennsylvania School Board Solicitors Association’s annual School Law Workshop took place on October 17-18 at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey PA. The workshop served as a multi-topic, expert-level seminar designed for Pennsylvania school law practitioners, reviewing current issues arising in representing public school entities and offering ideas for practical approaches and solutions. Peacock Keller Partner, Rachel K. Lozosky served as one of the presenters highlighting real life experiences via her presentation entitled “The New Importance of Investigations Part II: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up”.

  • Aaron W. Smith joins the 2018-2019 Leadership Washington County Class

    Aaron W. Smith, an Associate in the Firm’s Energy Department, will represent Peacock Keller as member of the 2018-2019 Leadership Washington County Class. 


    Leadership Washington County builds business leaders, community leaders, and professional networks. The program runs annually, from September through May, and includes monthly day-long sessions designed to build leadership skills while learning about the various facets of Washington County. It uses both classroom-based learning as well as practical exposure to the various government, academic, non-profit, and corporate institutions that make up Washington County. 

  • Peacock Keller to Sponsor Kickoff Event for South Hills NEXT

    Peacock Keller to sponsor the kickoff event for South Hills NEXT, a young professionals group supported by the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce. Please join us at Rusty Gold Brewing on October 10, 2018 from 5 pm to 7 pm to learn more about South Hills NEXT and how you can get involved. Food and drink will be provided.   • Peacock Keller partners with the Southwestern Pennsyvlania Human Resources Organization

    On Thursday, August 23rd Peacock Keller had the pleasure of partnering with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Resources Organization for their quarterly networking event. The event was held at the Hilton Garden Inn-Southpointe and over 40 people were in attendance to enjoy an evening of light hors d’oeuvres and camaraderie. A special thank you to the Washington County Chamber of Commerce for organizing such a great event. 

     

  • Peacock Keller Sponsors the 10th Annual Whiskey Rebellion Dinner Reception

    On Friday, July 20th the David Bradford House hosted its 10th Annual Whiskey Rebellion Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn - Southpointe. Peacock Keller was the proud sponsor of the dinner reception and the commemorative glasses used during the meal. Over 350 people were in attendance and all proceeds go to fund the David Bradford House Museum. We are grateful to have been able to partner with such an amazing group and honor Washington County’s history. 

  • Rachel K. Lozosky Presents at the 21st Annual Dr. Samuel Francis School Law Symposium and Special Education Workshop

    On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 Rachel K. Lozosky presented at the 21st Annual Dr. Samuel Francis School Law Symposium and Special Education Workshop. As a member of Peacock Keller's Employment Law Practice Group, Lozosky presented Whose Job is It? The LEA’s Role in Recommending Outside Placements and Implementing IEPs. 

  • Rachel K. Lozosky Presents to the PHRA Human Resources Academy

    On Friday, March 23, 2018 Rachel K. Lozosky presented to the PHRA Human Resources Academy. As a member of Peacock Keller's Employment Law Practice Group, Lozosky is well suited to cover the topic of employee discipline.  The presentation, Progressive Discipline 201:  Best Practices For Avoiding Legal Pitfalls, allowed attendees to:

    1. Gain a deeper familiarity with the contents of an effective and legally defensible progressive discipline policy.
    2. Further understand the reasons for progressive discipline policies.
    3. Gain a general familiarity with causes of action for unlawful discrimination and unemployment compensation, as well as how to avoid liability.
    4. Identify specific, common areas of potential liability exposure in both drafting and implementing progressive discipline policies, and how to avoid these pitfalls.
