One of the most difficult situations in life is when you or a loved one approaches its foregone conclusion. Proper planning and sound advice, however, can offer peace of mind in an otherwise troubling time. Whether you need help with planning for the future or administering the estate of a departed friend or family member, the lawyers at Peacock Keller can help.
Rick Amrhein - Rick has been drafting wills and powers of attorney for our clients and administering their estates for over 30 years. More recently, he has focused on estate planning, including the use of family trusts, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, for our clients who have oil and gas holdings. His practice includes business organizations as well as real estate. He staffs our Bridgeville office on a part-time basis for the convenience of our Southern Allegheny and Northern Washington County clientele.
John Rodgers – During his career, John has counseled clients on planning issues ranging from lifetime planning through post-mortem planning. John approaches planning with clients with the objective that a good plan anticipates the needs of the client or the client’s family that could arise tomorrow, through the end-of-life decisions, and beyond to the plan the client wants implemented after they have passed away. The conversation, therefore, always includes possible gifting, updating beneficiary designations on life insurance and retirement funds, preparation of a general power of attorney, anticipating the needs of a living will and writing a will to express your post-mortem plans.
Susan Key - With more than 25 years of experience practicing estate planning, Susan knows how to help you formulate the best plan for your needs. Her areas of specialty include estate planning and administration, elder law; special needs planning and related areas of law such as guardianships, Orphans’ Court litigation, business and real estate matters. Susan is a frequent lecturer on estate and trust issues, long-term care planning and non-profit law and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Don Formoso – As a member of our firm’s Estates Department, Don focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and gift tax, business planning and business transactions. Don has represented clients in preparing both simple and complex estate plans, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, and he advises clients with respect to estate and trust administration. Recently, Don presented a continuing legal education seminar regarding recent changes in the Pennsylvania Power of Attorney law. Don is past President of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the
Washington County Bar Association.
Eva Ahern - Eva has been an associate with the Peacock Keller & Ecker since 2012, and focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and elder law. She assists clients in preparing wills, trusts and powers of attorney. She also handles guardianship matters and special needs planning for her clients. Eva is the current President of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the Washington County Bar Association.
Ken Baker - As senior counsel, Ken’s practice focuses on estate planning and estate administration. He has many years of experience in estate planning for all sizes of estates from small to large, and has administered estates of all sizes, including the preparation of Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax and Federal Estate Tax returns and the preparation of Gift Tax returns. He is also a member of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He has been a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on estate planning and estate administration and has attended national estate planning seminars.
Our clients are important to us and we know that you have a choice in legal representation. While Peacock Keller’s experience and reputation may bring clients in the door, it is our commitment and personal service that keeps them coming back.
