Janine Smith grew up and continues to reside in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She is the proud member of a third- and fourth-generation family-run concrete company in Bethel Park, which was established by her grandfather and great-grandfather in 1930. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 2000. After high school, Janine attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Psychology and Political Science in 2004.
After receiving her undergraduate degree, Janine continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2007. During law school, Janine interned with the City of Pittsburgh Law Department. She was also employed as a law clerk for a small legal practice. During law school, Janine participated in both the Trial and Appellate Moot Court competitions.
After law school, Janine was employed as an Allegheny County Assistant District Attorney, where she handled the prosecution of hundreds of matters, including jury and non-jury trials and appellate matters. Janine then worked as an Associate attorney for a Pittsburgh law firm, where her practice focused on civil litigation and the representation of indigent criminal defendants. Janine joined Peacock Keller in September of 2016 where she will be working in the Firm’s Litigation Department.
Janine is admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District Court of Pennsylvania.
Aaron Smith resides in Peters Township with his wife, Jessica, and their three children, Wyatt, Sadie and Josette. Aaron graduated from West Virginia University in 2002 and 2004 with a Bachelor and Master of Sciences in Civil and Environmental Engineering, respectively. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2010.
Prior to law school, Aaron worked as a civil engineer with a large transportation engineering firm. As a member of the firm’s Bridge Group division, he assisted with the design, construction and inspection of bridges in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Georgia.
While attending Duquesne Law School, Aaron externed with the Hon. Kevin Sasinoski in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. Upon graduation he clerked for the Hon. Janet Moschetta Bell in the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County.
Prior to joining Peacock Keller, Aaron was the Appalachian Regional Manager for a national land services company providing comprehensive land- related services to energy companies throughout the region.
Aaron’s practice will focus on energy and real estate matters. Aaron is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Washington County Bar Associations and active in the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen. Aaron also serves on the Peters Township Planning Commission.
